Restat Signs Texas-based Public Employee Benefits Alliance (PEBA) as Latest Align Client

Milwaukee, Wis. – August 26, 2010 – Restat, the nation’s largest independent pharmacy benefits manager has announced the signing of the Public Employee Benefits Alliance (PEBA) as its latest Align cost-plus pricing model client. PEBA, an organization formed by several Texas government employers, cooperatively purchases employee benefits -- including health care benefits -- on behalf of the local government entities.

The relationship will allow Restat to potentially contract with approximately 250,000 political subdivision employee and dependents lives, including the 700 groups that are currently accessing Restat’s Pharmacy Benefit Management Services.
ABOUT PEBA: The Public Employee Benefits Alliance (PEBA) was established in 2006 by Interlocal Agreement of several Texas local governments pursuant to Chapter 791 and 271 of the Texas Local Government Code. The purpose of PEBA is to cooperatively purchase employee benefits, including health care benefits for multiple local government employers. PEBA is an organization that represents its participating Texas political subdivision with proposal/bid and negotiations of healthcare providers and vendors of healthcare benefits.
